Gabi is home!!!

She had an amazing time....duh? She went with her school on a nice comfy tour bus to San Diego. The did all kinds of fun stuff like go to the aquarium, boogie board and body surf and go on a mini-cruise in the harbor! Her and her friend Isabelle were inseparable!

Candle party!!!

MARTHA STEWART.....EATCHA HEART OUT!!!

Everyone knows...I am fund raising for Gabi to go to Washington, Dc this summer. I am obsessing about out it! So....a candle party with a delishious dessert island was in order. I had a lot of friends stop by....and alot of friends flake! But none the less...those that came had fun (I think) and they ordered candles...and loved the....build your own parfait-slash-trifle dessert!!

I realized that it wasn't hard at all....I made poundcake for shortcake...brownies...just cuz and these yummy chocolate ganache tarts...cuz they were actually easy and super fun to say!

I also realized that not many people know what a trifle is???
Hello....layer cake...cookies, fruit..pudding??? oh well.....I had fun doing it and we made $208 in proceeds and another about $260 in donations!!!

Thanks to those that came by and hung out and braved the trifle bar and for your donations and purchases!!!!

Carlton's 40th!

What an amazing night! After we cleaned up and got ready...Grandma Candice and Grandpa went into full gear! The kids were there with Baby Haley...havin a great time!

We, however...had an adult night....kid-free night....out!!!

Lancer had a great party in his and Jen's beautiful home...we drank....and sang...and drank...and danced....well...Mike did no singing or dancing! But we had a ball!!!

BEST PART??? I DID NOT PUKE!!!

Not in a bush...or on a lawn...or out of a moving vehicle! YAY ME!!
aaannnd....the next day....we still made it to church with Auntie and Bugga and went to breakfast at The Alamo...sooo de-lish!

USC Spring practice

Ok...Nevi fans!!

So we have been busy bees! Not this last weekend....but the previous weekend...we went to So Cal!
We did our usual 18 different things to do on the Nevi list. Saturday morning we went down to the USC campus for a practice. Usually it is open to the public...but this year it wasn't...but somehow...the Nevi's prevailed!

It was fun....the guys were great, as always and very sweet to the kids! Kevin was high-fiving the guys as they headed out for practice! It was a fun time....we will have to see how Coach Kiffin does this coming season!

Junior National Young Leaders Conference

Hello friends and fam!!!

So as most of you already know, we are hustling here at the Nevi house!!! We are raising funds for Gabriella to attend this amazing trip to Washington, DC this summer!
She was nominated through the school by her teacher and come hell or high water she is going to go! This weekend is the Nevi Garage sale...so come buy our crap! J/K

April 25th, here at, Casa de Nevinger we are hosting a Salt City Candle party too! They will donate funds for every candle purchase right to Gabi's trip! We are setting up a fun array of puddings, cookies and fruit to allow you to build your own parfait or trifle!! YUMM! So, come eat, and hang out and pick up a few candles! They make great gifts and mothers day is coming up!!! :)

This is the part of the party that the girls were "asking" to go swimming...when told the water was cold....they said that Sandye could warm up the jacuzzi...when told that my kids did not have suits...they begged Mike to run home. When he got back...he forgot Gabi's top! oh well...Sand had a tshirt for her to throw on!

Sushi Dinner!

Since Fridays during lent we can't eat meat....I decided to take the family to Sushi! YUM! Believe it or not both the older kids do like it. Gabi is the most brave and is down for whatever. Mike, Gab and Kev all tried Sea Urchin and Squid all raw. The squid...looked white and chewy...no biggie....the Sea Urchin looked gooey and like a internal body part...Marta no likey! But here is a plate full of rolls...that were yummy!

Lily's Bday....

Last weekend the kids went to our friend Lily's 6th birthday! (We were allowed to come too!)
It was quite the extravaganza! Pony rides! Jolly Jump! Face painting! And Ice Cream Cake! Doesn't get any better! Oh...wait it did...Sandye and Brad invited the kids to sleep over and then took the monkeys to breakfast! They had a great time!

See Gabi waiting in line? She ended up not getting a pony ride...she and some older girls were in charge of regulatatin' the jump house from thuggish ruggish chitlins!
